When You Lie About Your Age, The Terrorists Win

You may not know Carol Liefer by name, but you’ve probably heard her through many different voices as a former writer on Saturday Night Live, Seinfeld, Ellen and other hit shows. In her new book, When You Lie About Your Age, the Terrorists Win she writes about coming to terms with who she is — including her age, and remembers your joke of the day via her father who used to tell this one a lot while she was growing up.

“A guy goes to the ticket window of a movie theater with a chicken on his shoulder and asks for two tickets. The ticket lady asks who’s going in with him, and the guys says, ‘My pet chicken here.’ ‘Well, I’m sorry,’ the woman tells him, ‘but we don’t allow animals in the movie theater.’ So the guy goes around the corner and stuffs the chicken down his pants. He goes back to the window, buys his ticket, and goes into the theater. But once the movie begins, the chicken starts to get hot, so the guy unzips his pants so the chicken can stick his head out and get a little air…

The woman sitting next to the guy in the movies sees this and is appalled. She nudges her friend and whispers, ‘This guy next to me just unzipped his pants!’ The friend whispers back, ‘Ah, don’t worry about it. You’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.’ And the woman says, ‘I know. But this one’s eating my popcorn!’ ”

P.J. Bland’s Saturday Night Live Commercial

It may sound weird, but we’d love to give a big hug to the creative team behind Chili’s new promotional campaign revolving around the P.J. Bland’s restaurant chain. In case you missed it, the P.J. Bland’s commercial aired last night right after the cold open and credits where you normally see Saturday Night Live commercial parodies. But this one wasn’t from SNL, it was from Chili’s which did a great job of waiting until the very end of the commercial to reveal their identity. They’ve even set up a twitter account for you to follow Mr. Bland.

So thanks Chili’s…not only for getting it, but for also allowing us so much creativity with making our own fajitas.

Sayid From ABC’s Lost Bombs At Stand Up

We tried doing stand up back in the 90′s so we know how hard it is…but it couldn’t have been as bad as performing for survivors of a plane crash.
