A Cause For Comedy Saves The World One Fart Joke At A Time

Hey, you! You like comedy. We know that because you’re on Comedy.com. Turns out you can enjoy comedy and do something good at the same time. Tonight the Hollywood Improv puts on the third “A Cause for Comedy” event.

It’s all part of the Creative Activist movement, which honors the work of artists of all stripes who are trying to make positive changes to the world. It was started by Kathy Eldon to pay tribute to people like her late son Dan, who was killed in Somalia while working as a photojournalist for Reuters. If you want to have your art be a part of the show, you can do so by contributing a video, photo, or writing a blog post at Causecast.org. The content will be mashed up and shown onstage, and maybe even made fun of, but in a good way. Comedians participating include Ben Morrison (“Punk’d”), Ben Gleib (“Chelsea Lately”), Erin Foley (“Last Comic Standing”), Eric Schwartz AKA Smooth-E (YouTube), Hugh Moore (“Live at Gotham”) and Adam Richmond (“Carson Daly”). There’s also a party hosted by comic Nadine Rajabi. If you can’t get to L.A. in time (time being 7 p.m. Pacific, 10 p.m. Eastern), A Cause for Comedy will be streamed live at Causecast.org/acauseforcomedy.
