When we need our news in its most newsiest form (aka gossipy gossip), we turn to Page Six of the “New York Post,” which reported today that Robin Williams may play British old-lady singing sensation Susan Boyle in a movie about her life. Williams already has played an old lady (ish) before to big bucks in “Mrs. Doubtfire.” You may remember his performance. (Remember? Of course you remember because you have been gauging your eyes out to trying to forget.) This time, your earholes also will get the full treatment. As Page Six reported: “He’s been doing impressions of Boyle and singing “I Dreamed a Dream” in a thick Scottish accent to his friends.”
Oh, lovely. Actually, we have met Williams offstage and he is quite lovely offstage… and sometimes onstage. We’ve already shown you Robin Williams’ six best “David Letterman” appearances. And this trailer for his upcoming movie, “World’s Greatest Dad,” looks funny. If only someone would put his rising and lowering loveliness over his whole career into a graphic form that looks like a roller coaster. Oh, someone did that? Thank you, Daily Fill.
