We give thanks this weekend to The Comedy Store in Los Angeles for opening up their vault (In this clip, they literally open with a scene of an animated vault!) to share with us this clip of a very young Jim Carrey performing stand-up. How do we know how young he was in the clip? Well, just look at him! Plus, one of his first face-mugging impressions is of Leonid Brezhnev. Brezhnev! You have to be olden-time person to get that reference or have access to history. Anyhow. We’re getting off message. Our message is it is wonderful to see one of the great comedians of our era as he was beginning his career? Great enough to be inducted into The Laugh Track Hall of Fame. That’s how great.
