We caught the new Dane Cook special, Isolated Incident, last night. We gotta say, it was a lot better than we thought it would be.

There’s also clips of, what appears to be the DVD special features Online. It’s weird how they advertised the special as a surprise Dane Cook appearance at an empty Laugh Factory and then shot it for Comedy Central to a packed house, with the Laugh Factory logo obscured and a big Dane Cook sign over the stage. Or maybe we just understood. Either way, Cook’s people did a (surprise!) great job marketing the special as something new and different. He’s not our ‘favorite’, but at least he’s not flailing around the Fleet Center with spikey hair and zero punchlines. Consider us impressed.
